Positive ChangeMakers around the Globe

For the past 10 years, the municipal government of Seoul has partnered with 14 luxury hotels to collect their outdated furniture and donate it to low-income families and homeless residents. Over 120,000 pieces of furniture have been distributed to those in need, offering not just functional items but also dignity and hope.

Something to Ponder On:

When emotions run high during an argument, it can be so tempting to react impulsively and let the heat of the moment take over.

But sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause, take a breath, and respond with kindness and grace instead. It’s not always easy, especially when faced with unreasonable words or actions, but gentleness has a way of diffusing tension and opening the door to understanding.

What’s your go-to strategy for keeping calm during a disagreement?

Spark of Inspiration:

Mike Tyson, one of the greatest boxers in history, trained with unmatched intensity and discipline. When asked if he really trained at dawn, he famously said:

“I run at 4 A.M. because I know my opponent is still asleep. It gives me an edge. “If I find out one of my opponents runs at 4 A.M., I’ll start running at 2 A.M. And if someone trains at 2 A.M., I’ll stop sleeping altogether to keep training.”

“Without discipline, no matter how talented you are, you’re nothing.”

What motivates you to push your limits and go the extra mile?

Did You Know?

Your beliefs about aging—whether positive or negative—can influence how you experience cognitive changes in your senior years, according to new research from Penn State.

Researchers found that people with positive expectations about aging were less likely to report cognitive struggles, such as difficulty concentrating or memory lapses. Even without a clinical decline in cognitive function, negative beliefs about aging can make people feel like their mental abilities are slipping.

So make sure that you:
Focus on growth and possibilities instead of stereotypes about aging. Stay mentally active and practice positive self-talk to counter negative thoughts.

Do you think mindset plays a role in how we age?

Change Your Life for the Better: Insights from Mel Robbins

Mel Robbins says if we want to change our lives for the better, we need to take a behavior-first approach. Instead of waiting to “feel like it,” start by asking: What would someone who already has what I want do?

How to Take Control of Your Life

When there’s something in your life you’re unhappy with—whether it’s a relationship, your health, your body, or your job—and you’re not taking action to change it, you’re actively choosing to stay the same.

Gentle Reminders:

Sometimes, the hardest part of any journey isn’t the steps we take—it’s believing we’re truly worthy of the destination waiting for us.

Self-belief is like planting a seed—it takes time, patience, and care to growBut as you nurture it, you’ll find the strength to keep moving forward, even when the road feels uncertain.

Remember, the journey isn’t just about getting there—it’s about becoming the person who’s ready to embrace it fully.

Trust yourself, you’re closer than you think.

Just for Laugh:

Ever have a brilliant idea pop into your head, only for it to disappear before you can write it down?

Hope your week is full of ideas that stick and inspiration that carries you all the way to Friday!
