Do you know Cecilia Payne? Not a lot of people are familiar with her journey. 

When her mother refused to fund her education, she won a scholarship to Cambridge! 

Even after Cambridge denied her a degree because she was a woman, she persisted, moving to the U.S. and becoming the first person to earn a Ph.D. in astronomy from Radcliffe College. 

Cecilia not only discovered what the universe is made of, but also the sun’s composition—years before anyone else!

She broke barriers at Harvard, becoming their first female professor and inspiring generations of women in science.

Cecilia Payne’s legacy teaches us the power of persistence, curiosity, and believing in your abilities, no matter the obstacles.
